My name is Katelin Burch. I am a graduating senior from Winston-Salem State University. I major in Healthcare Management. I am from Wingate, NC. My roles at Hope To Thrive consist of arts and culture, social media and being Joy’s personal assistant.
Adante Hart, MPH, RD, LDN
Adante Hart is a Registered Dietitian, nutrition educator, speaker, and foodie. He strives to improve public health through advancing food sovereignty, primarily in communities of color. Drawing from a wealth of experience working around food in various capacities, Adante leads classes and interactive workshops on preparing meals that are both healthy and flavorful. In addition, he regularly speaks on topics related to nutrition, foodways, and health.
Adante holds a Master of Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Bachelor in Biology from Johns Hopkins University. He currently resides in Durham, NC, and spends his spare time cooking, volunteering, and gaming.
Paris Coleman – Counseling
Hello, My name is Paris. I’m from Mobile, AL. I went to college for Psychology and I am pursuing a degree in Counseling. In the past, I’ve worked with families and individuals dealing with a wide range of issues including domestic violence, food and housing insecurity, and depression and anxiety. This semester I hope to utilize therapeutic art techniques that clients can take home with them to replicate in times of need. In the future, I hope to become an art therapist using drama, pottery, and writing. Being from the bay area, I enjoy the beach, seashells, and water in general. My hobbies include crafting, watching tv, thinking, and cooking new recipes. I also enjoy writing poetry and puzzles. I look forward to working with you all!
Angel Daniels – mental health coordinator & special projects intern
My name is Angel Daniels. I am a senior Healthcare management major at Winston-Salem State University. I am from Greenville North Carolina. My roles at Hope to Thrive are the Mental Health Coordinator and special projects intern. I will be assisting another intern with counseling sessions as well as being an outreach finding resources assisting other interns.
